The paper deals with numerical solutions of integral equations of the radiative transfer problem for both coherent and completely incoherent scattering in one- and three-dimensional media. The author argues that the standard Gauss quadrature method is not optimal at the given number of nodes. Thus he suggests a new method for a more optimal choosing of nodes and weights and gives results of application of the method to the Doppler and Lorentz absorption profiles.
