Certain \(k\)-degree iterative methods for solving systems of linear algebraic equations are discussed. In these methods the new approximation \(x^{(m+1)}\) is determined by means of the approximations \(x^{(m)}\), \(x^{(m-1)},\dots, x^{(m-k+1)}\). Corresponding to each iterative method of first degree, some \(k\)-degree iterative method is defined which has better convergence properties.
