\textit{J. F. Mestre} [C. R. Acad. Sci., Paris, Sér. I, 313, No. 3, 139-142 and No. 4, 171-174 (1991; Zbl 0745.14013 and Zbl 0749.14026)] has constructed examples of elliptic curves over \(\mathbb{Q} (T)\) with ranks 11 or 12, respectively. The author uses Mestre's method to construct an elliptic curve with rank \(\geq 13\).
