The paper considers conditions for Fitting classes that are generalisations of Lockett's condition [\textit{F. P. Lockett}, Math. Z. 137, 131-136 (1974; Zbl 0286.20017)]. As a consequence of a theorem addressing these conditions, the following result is obtained which extends a result by \textit{N. T. Vorob'ev} [Mat. Zametki 43, 161-168 (1988; Zbl 0681.20010)]: If \(\mathbf F\) is a local Fitting class of soluble groups then \(\mathbf F\) satisfies Lockett's condition.
