The authors give a general framework which permits them to give almost sure properties of (uniform) distribution in a unified way: applications concern \((\alpha, \gamma)\)-expansions [in the sense of \textit{J. Galambos}, Representations of real numbers by infinite series, Lect. Notes Math. 502, Springer-Verlag (1976; Zbl 0322.10002)], Cantor products and continued fractions.
