A cochain complex associated to the Steenrod algebra (Q1343894)

This paper gives an acyclic \(A\)-free resolution \(X= A\otimes \overline X\) of \(Z/2\) for the \(\text{mod } p\) Steenrod algebra \(A\). This one has inductively defined differential, contracting homotopy and is naturally embedded in the bar resolution \(B(A)\) as a direct summand. A filtration of \(X\) leads to an equivalent of the May spectral sequence. It is the hope of this work to be useful for calculating the differential in the May spectral sequence and the ring structure of \(H^*(A)\).
