Capturing the information contained in a set of data is what data analysis is all about. A seemingly straightforward information is the frequency or occurance of certain events or patterns. This simple concept in a crisp environment had still to be defined in fuzzy domains. The authors propose two definitions leading to an upper and a lower frequency which extent the classical definition of frequency. Some properties of these fuzzy frequencies are given in the one- dimensional case and a trial is made to extent this concept to multidimensional spaces. However, this approach does not satisfy the authors as they could not find a unified proposal. Further studies in practical situations are hence advocated.
