The aim is to introduce a high-order numerical scheme which can be used not only for the accurate solution for a class of three-dimensional ocean acoustic propagation problems, but also for the improvement of computational efficiency. Advantages and costs of using high-order schemes will be discussed. A demonstration of the improved computation speed will be shown.
