The author investigates the periodic perturbation of a planar Hamiltonian system, by use of perturbation methods and Mel'nikov function, a necessary condition for the existence of an invariant torus, and a sufficient condition for the bifurcation of a unique invariant torus and a subharmonic solution are given.
