Generalizing results of Courant on polygonal minimal surfaces the author proves an existence and uniqueness theorem on quasiminimal surfaces (in the sense of Heinz). He describes his results for Courant's approach as well as for Shiffman's approach. In part 3 of the paper minimal surface conditions are presented.
