Local controllability and minimum energy control of continuous 2-D linear systems with variable coefficients (Q1345344)

The author considers continuous 2-D linear systems, that is input systems defined by second-order linear partial differential equations, with variable coefficients. For these systems, the author formulates a controllability problem on a rectangle and gives a necessary and sufficient condition for its solution. Finally, the author formulates and solves a minimum norm energy problem for the same type of systems.
