It is shown that restricted to the class of non-normal matrices (those whose row and column ranks are different), Konieczny's conjecture that for each \(n\) in \([1, 2^{n-1}]\) a matrix \(A\) exists in \(B_ n\) having this integer as the size of its row space does not hold. But they show for \(n\) at most 6, the original Konieczny conjecture holds.
