\textit{M. L. Mehta} and \textit{R. Wang} [Commun. Math. Phys. 214, No. 1, 227-232 (2000; Zbl 0978.15007)] evaluated a certain determinant involved in the statistics of random matrices and showed that it involves Meixner-Pollaczek polynomials. This paper evaluates the \(q\)-analogous determinants.
