The state vector solution of axisymmetric Biot's consolidation problems for multilayered poroelastic media (Q1348226)

The paper contains a short presentation of an axisymmetric consolidation problem in cylindrical coordinates. This consolidation problem for a fluid-saturated, multilayered poroelastic medium is described by Biot's model. The set of equations is solved by the method of transfer matrix with numerical inversion of Laplace-Hankel transform. This should overcome the intrinsic fault of the conventional transfer matrix method which leads to ill-conditioned matrices. The paper is hard to read due to poor English.
