The convertibility conditions of linear continuous uncertain input, time delay models to equivalent discrete-time models and vice versa are under study. Model conversions from continuous to discrete-time and from discrete-time to continuous representation are based on the bilinear approximation method combinedwith interval arithmetic operations. A method to estimate tighter error bounds of structured uncertainties of the approximated model is also presented. It is shown that the obtained discrete-time model approximates the original uncertain input delay continuous model tightly, as well the obtained continuous model approximates the original discrete-time model. The simulation example of a helicopter dynamics demonstrates the usefulness of converted models.
