The aim of the paper is to investigate the existence of static feedback solutions to the partial model matching problem. For a given linear reachable plant a prespecified number of Markov parameters of the desired transfer function is adapted by linear state feedback. Solvability conditions are derived. A design procedure is proposed and demonstrated by numerical examples.
