On \(s\)-closed subspaces (Q1355418)

\textit{T. Thompson} [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 60(1976), 335-338 (1977; Zbl 0339.54020)] introduced the notion of \(S\)-closed spaces by using semi-open sets due to \textit{N. Levine} [Am. Math. Mon. 70, 36-41 (1963; Zbl 0113.16304)]. \textit{T. Noiri} [Atti Accad. Naz. Lincei, VIII. Ser., Rend., Cl. Sci. Fis. Mat. Nat. 64, 157-162 (1978; Zbl 0429.54008)] introduced and investigated \(S\)-closed subspaces and locally \(S\)-closed spaces. \textit{G. di Maio} and \textit{T. Noiri}, Indian J. Pure Appl. Math. 18, 226-233 (1987; Zbl 0625.54031)] originated \(s\)-closed spaces from \(S\)-closed spaces. Recently, \textit{C. K. Basu} [Int. J. Math. Math. Sci. 19. No. 1, 67-73 (1996; Zbl 0884.54013), see the review above] has investigated \(s\)-closed subspaces and locally \(s\)-closed spaces. The purpose the present paper is to obtain further properties of \(s\)-closed spaces, \(s\)-closed subspaces, and sets \(s\)-closed relative to a topological space.
