\textit{V. G. Kac} and \textit{A. K. Raina} introduced a two-parameter family of modules of the Virasoro algebra [Bombay lectures on highest weight representations of infinite-dimensional Lie algebras, Adv. Ser. Math. Phys., Vol. 2 (1987; Zbl 0668.17012)] which are called the ``principal series'' of modules. The author proves that the tensor of a highest-weight module with a principal-series module is indecomposable and gives a detailed analysis on when it is irreducible.
