Recently, \textit{A. M. S. Ramasamy} provided the fundamental solution of Pell's equation \(x^2-Dy^2 =\pm 1\) for some infinite series of discriminants \(D\) [Indian J. Pure Appl. Math. 25, 577-581 (1994; Zbl 0812.11020)]. The present author shows that all discriminants considered by Ramasamy are of extended Richaud-Degert type, and hence the results are well-known.
