The author computes the plane billard in an ellipse and the geodesic flow of an ellipsoid in \(\mathbb{R}^3\) in elliptical and ellipsoid confocal coordinates. It is suggested that similar coordinates in higher dimensions may be useful. The overall goal of the paper remains unclear.
