A diffusion model arising in population ecology is considered and estimates on local stability and bifurcation are derived. For special cases the stability boundaries depending on birth rate, diffusion coefficient, and time delay are computed. Finally, numerical simulations are presented, indicating a series of primary and secondary bifurcations.
