A code is developed to study the evolution of toroidal electron clouds by means of particle simulations. The code structure is discussed. With this 2-D particle simulation code the processes are studied which occur in the torus on times much larger than the electron cyclotron period. Toroidal systems with aspects ratios from 1.5 to 100 are considered, the aspect ratios 2 and 100 are analyzed in detail. The effect of toroidicity on the steady state, particle drift and loss to walls, total energy loss, equipotential contours are shown. The code will be implemented to simulate near experimental conditions, conditions assumed by theoretical models, and to study stable and unstable modes in the torus.
