The author studies a generalization of the \(B\wedge F\) topological field theories introduced by \textit{G. Horowitz} [Commun. Math. Phys. 125, 417-437 (1989; Zbl 0684.53075)]. The class of theories considered here is characterized by a tensor product structure of the energy functional that gives rise to a Bogomol'nyi structure and to solitonic particle solutions. The possibility to get electric monopoles by ``relaxing'' one of the Bogomol'nyi equations is discussed.
