On conformal deformations of metrics (Q1357934)

Let \((M,g)\) be a smooth compact Riemannian manifold. The author obtains the local coordinate expressions of the first and second variations for deformations of the metric \(g\). Then, considering conformal deformations, he obtains a partial differential equation of Poisson type, solved by the function involved in the conformal deformation.
