The author studies controllable partitions. These are finite partitions of compact metric spaces into subsets whose sizes fulfill a uniformity condition depending on the entropy numbers of the underlying space. It is shown that a partition of \([0,2]^m\) into \(n\) general rectangular parallelotopes has a controllable refinement consisting of general rectangular parallelotopes. Furthermore, an ascending chain on controllable partitions of \([0,2]^m\) is given.
