Lower bound estimation for the separation of two matrices (Q1361829)

The author develops a technique to estimate the lower bound of the separation \(\text{Sep}(A,B)\), independent of the Kronecker product. By combining this technique with the Jordan canonical decompositions and the Schur decompositions of \(A\) and \(B\), some lower bounds for the separations \(\text{Sep}_1(A,B)\), \(\text{Sep}_\infty(A,B)\) and \(\text{Sep}_F(A,B)\) are given.
