A methodology is presented for the design of optimal time-free impulsive transfer trajectories. The endpoints are variable on halo orbits in the vicinity of the interior libration point \(L_1\) of the Sun-Earth/Moon bang-center system. Substantial savings in correction velocities can be achieved by the allowance for coastal periods on halo orbits.
