Die Hall-Algebra und ihre Theorie sind von C. M. Ringel mit einer Reihe seiner Arbeiten vollständig begründet worden. In dieser Arbeit zeigt der Autor, daß es für gewisse darstellungsendliche selbst-injektive Algebren auch Hall-Polynome gibt.
