The author gives a formula for the number of real zeros of the polynomial \(f(x)\) in terms of the determinants of certain submatrices of the eliminant of \(f\) and \(f'\). (In the middle of p. 877 for ``the first \(n-m+2k\) rows'' read ``the first \(n-m+k\) rows'').
