With the paper in hand, the author summarizes basic properties of Fejér monotone mappings in real Hilbert spaces that arise e.g. in the context of iterative methods to solve convex problems. Particularly, attention is directed to the relation between those mappings and their relaxations. By the theory presented, slightly generalized non-expansive mappings are covered. The paper closes with some applications to convex problems.
