The author considers the possibility of constructing nonlinear equations of general relativity by including potential energy and solves them for the motion of individual particles having nonzero four-dimensional absolute acceleration relative to a family of inertial geodesics satisfying the field equations in their orbits. It is based on the thermodynamic energy scalar \(mc^2\) and the potential energy scalar \(mU\) of the particle as in Newtonian mechanics or in the Minkowski space of the special theory of relativity.
