A model for the description of micro- and macro-dynamics of linear elastic solid body with micro-periodic nonconnected fluid filled inclusions is proposed. Using the model, we are able to account for the microstructural length-scale effect on the global dynamic behavior of the body. The general equations obtained are applied to investigate dispersion phenomena in wave propagation problems.
