A rate-dependent constitutive equation for the plane-strain hot sheet rolling problem is considered. The governing equations are solved by regular perturbation method with respect to the ratio of the sheet thickness to the roll bite length. The influence of reduction, strain-rate hardening parameter and the friction on the field variables and the roll speed is also investigated. The theoretical predictions are compared with experimental data.
