The author presents a new limiter function for a typical class of reconstruction functions, which is motivated by the theoretical requirements to get convergent higher-order cell-centered upwind finite volume schemes on a grid of simplices. The approximate solution obtained with this kind of scheme will converge to the entropy solution for the scalar case.
