This paper is concerned with the linear thermoelastodynamics of Cosserat continua. The author presents a uniqueness theorem for the mixed boundary-initial value problem. I note that this result has been established previously by \textit{A. Scalia} [Int. J. Eng. Sci. 28, No. 3, 181-189 (1990; Zbl 0725.73011)].
