Fragments, as introduced by F. Van Oystaeyen and the author, are module-like structures relating a ring \(R\) to a subring \(S\) obtained as the ring of degree zero for some positive filtration on \(R\). Several properties of fragments are discussed (projectivity, injectivity, Noetherianness, Artinianness).
