On the Oseen equation in the three dimensional exterior domains (Q1377069)

This paper is concerned with the \(L_p\)-\(L_q\) estimates of the semigroup generated by the Oseen operator \(\mathbb{P}(-\Delta+ ({\mathbf u}_\infty\cdot\nabla))\) in a three-dimensional exterior domain with Dirichlet zero boundary condition, where \(\mathbb{P}\) is a continuous projection associated by the Helmholtz decomposition and \({\mathbf u}_\infty\) is any three-dimensional constant vector. The estimates obtained in this paper are locally uniform with respect to \({\mathbf u}_\infty\), which will play an important role to investigate the asymptotic structure of the wake region behind the obstacle in a viscous fluid flow as \({\mathbf u}_\infty\) tends to the zero vector, that is the Oseen operator tends to the Stokes operator.
