Transitive action of a two generator group on rational projective line (Q1377381)

The authors are interested in the action of the group \(M=\langle x,y:x^2= y^4= 1\rangle\) on the rational projective line where \(x,y\) are linear fractional transformations \(x:z \to -1/2z\) and \(y:z \to-1/(z+1)\), respectively. It is proved that the coset diagram for the action of \(M\) on the rational projective line is connected and the action is transitive.
