The authors consider the oscillation problem of the second-order nonhomogeneous difference equation \[ \Delta (c_{n-1} \Delta x_{n-1})+ q_n x_n= f_n, \qquad n=1,2,\dots, \] where \(c_n> 0\). Some new criteria for oscillation and nonoscillation are obtained which can be regarded as discrete analogues of the known results in the continuous case.
