The authors give a complete classification of the non-ruled algebraic surfaces in \({\mathbb{P}}^4(\mathbb{C})\) that have no quadrisecant lines. Use is made of the techniques of \textit{P. Le Barz} [Enseign. Math., II. Sér. 33, 1-66 (1987; Zbl 0629.14037)].
