The aim of the article is the construction of the iterative (hyperbolic) function system (ISF) whose attractor is the graph of a polynomial of arbitrary degree. Using some properties of Bernstein polynomials it gives an answer on \textit{M. F. Barnsley}'s problem 6.4.8. in [`Fractals everywhere' (Academic Press, Boston etc.) (1988; Zbl 0691.58001)] in connection with the hidden variable fractal interpolation.
