The author investigates the relatioship between ``lacunary conditions'' and ``\(o\)-conditions'' of Tauberian type. A result of \textit{G. G. Lorentz} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 63, No. 2, 226-234 (1948; Zbl 0032.06001)] is extended for the case of the methods of \((C,\alpha)\), \(\alpha > 0\), summability.
