The construction of point nets with slightly varying steps on two-dimensional surfaces, in particular on the sphere, is considered. The author has restricted himself to nets generated by intersections of coordinate curves of orthogonal coordinate systems. Theorems referring to the construction and refinement of the nets are presented and proved. Some numerical examples of the construction of such nets are given.
