Controller synthesis for net condition/event systems with a solution for incomplete state observation (Q1383474)

The authors present a method for logic controller synthesis based on net condition/event models of the uncontrolled plant and specifications of forbidden states. Their goal is to provide a methodology for discrete controller design in which the controller code for a programmable logic controller is automatically generated from the results of controller synthesis. They want to show how such a synthesis can be performed without generating the complete state space and how incomplete observation of states can be handled in a technical way. The main result is a synthesis algorithm for complete state observation. The methods of the paper are illustrated in many examples and completeness, finiteness and complexity of the algorithm is described also.
