The observer theory is generalized from finite dimensional bilinear control systems to a class of distributed bilinear systems. The observation problem is examined in the current work and two sets of sufficient conditions are presented. The first one guarantees the existence of an exponential Kalman-like observer, while the second one ensures the existence of an asymptotic Luenberger-like observer. Simulation results are presented in order to highlight the performance of the proposed observers.
