Irregularity detection from noisy data in one and two dimensions (Q1385137)

The author presents a method, based on the work of \textit{M. Bozzini}, \textit{F. De Tisi} and \textit{M. Rossini} [Pierre-Jean Laurent (ed.) et al., Wavelets, images, and surface fitting. Papers from the 2nd international conference on curves and surfaces, held in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, France, June 10-16 (1993), 59-66 (1994; Zbl 0815.65134)] which permits to detect the irregularities of univariate functions from noisy data and its extension to bivariate functions which present lines of points of irregularity.
