Free energy and domain of dependence for weakly compressible viscoelastic fluids (Q1386287)

The author is interested in the linear behaviour of weakly compressible viscoelastic fluid. First, he shows approximated thermodynamic relations which are consistent with the approximate constitutive equations. He obtains the properties which guarantee that the functional can be considered as a free energy. The main part of this paper is the construction and the study of a maximal free energy. Further he considers stability questions and finally he derives a domain of dependence of inequality.
