Scattering of electromagnetic waves by a thin superconducting band (Q1386592)

It is known that the scattering of electromagnetic waves by a thin band is one of the basic problems that opens wide practical possibilities of the investigation of problems in antenna waveguide engineering, open resonators, and other microwave devices. In this paper, we develop ideas described by the second author and others, and solve the problem of the scattering of a plane wave by a super-conducting band for the first time. We use the new numerical-analytical method developed and justified by the first author and I. K. Lifanov.
