For a MIMO linear system \(y=W(s) (v-y)\) an assignment of several poles is solved through interpolating matrix rational functions and reduction to the solutions of matrix polynomial equations. Also the more general problem of synthesis of a regulator by approximation of the transfer matrix is sketched.
