Linear time invariant systems described by a state space model in control canonical form are considered in this paper. Some of the system parameters are assumed to be unknown. In addition, the system is influenced by a deterministic disturbance not available for measurement. The disturbance is modeled by a linear system. A parametrically dependent ``observer'' and an adaptive state regulator are proposed. For the unknown parameters an adaption scheme is described. Stability of the closed loop system is proved by choosing a suitable Lyapunov function.
